AERO VODOCHODY

AERO is a Czechoslovakian manufacturer who have been in production throughout most of the 20th Century.

AEROSPATIALE

French aerospace firm famous for the anglo-french concorde project.

AIRBUS

Major player in civilian air transport. The Airbus A380, which first flew on April 27, 2005 is currently listed as the world's largest commercial airliner.

AIRSPEED

British plane manufacturer. Planes such as the A.S.57 Ambassador had a short hayday in the post war period for short haul flights but were superceeded by new jets.

ALBATROS

The Albatros was one of famoust WWI aircrafts. A german fighter biplane with lovely lines. The Mark III (flown by Manfred von Richtofen) was powered by a 160hp Mercedes D.IIIa piston engine and had a wingspan of 9.05 metres.

ANTONOV

Soviet era Russian military transportation planes. They built all sorts of planes many of which still fly today.

AVRO

A great british manufacturer who built planes in the first world war. They then grew and during the second world war delivered the iconic Lancaster Bomber. In the post war period they switched to Jets and Avro were responsible for the Vulcan Bomber which saw action in the 1982 Falklands conflict.
